Product Description

Corosolic acid is derived from the extract of Lagerstroemia grandis (commonly known as Panaba, which is abundant in the Philippine Islands). The results of in vivo and in vitro experiments show that corosolic acid stimulates the transport of glucose and promotes the absorption and utilization of glucose by cells, thereby realizing its hypoglycemic effect. The excitatory effect of corosolic acid on glucose transport is similar to that of insulin, therefore, corosolic acid is also called plant insulin.
