Podophyllum resin is an antiviral agent, and its main components are podophyllotoxin, α-podophyllotoxin, β-podophyllotoxin and 4-norpodophyllotoxin, four lignan components. It can inhibit the mitosis and synthesis of wart virus DNA, kill the virus, and have corrosive and keratolytic effects.
Functions :
Podophyllum resin can be used to for various viral warts, such as condyloma acuminata, common warts, flat warts, and plantar warts, as well as skin cancer and localized keratotic skin diseases.
