Isatis Root Extract is a yellow-brown powder extracted from the dried roots of the plant Radix Isatidis. It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat the common cold and other infections of the throat, nose and sinuses (upper respiratory tract infections), as well as infections of the glands that make saliva (parotitis).
Other lab experiments also show that Isatis Root Extract can kill certain viruses and counteract some symptoms and tissue damage from bacterial infections.
