Peppermint leaf extract is a dried whole grass extract of Mentha haplocalyx Briq., and the volatile oil is the main active ingredient, which is customarily called peppermint oil or mint crude oil; a large amount of colorless matter precipitated at low temperature is called Menthol; the oil that separates part of the menthol is called peppermint oil; the essence of peppermint oil is called peppermint white oil. All of these products have different quality requirements on the international market. The main component of peppermint oil is Lenthol 1 (Mentho1) and flavonoids. It has anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. It also has important regulatory functions for the central nervous system, digestive system and antibacterial anti-inflammatory system. It is widely used in food and Pharmaceutical industry.

Mint (Mentha piperita) is a hybrid mint, a cross between watermint and spearmint. The plant, indigenous to Europe, is now widespread in cultivation throughout all regions of the world.
Peppermint has a high menthol content, and is often used as tea and for flavouring ice cream, confectionery, chewing gum, and toothpaste. The oil also contains menthone and menthyl esters, particularly menthyl acetate. It is the oldest and most popular flavour of mint-flavoured confectionery. Peppermint can also be found in some shampoos and soaps, which give the hair a minty scent and produce a cooling sensation on the skin.
The main ingredients of the peppermint leaf extract are :
1. Volatile components: The main components in the oil are menthol, namely Menthol, Menthone, Menthyl acetate, Camphene, Limonene, Isomenthone. ), pinene (Pinene), menthone (Menthenone) and the like.
2. Phenolic components: Flavonoids such as Isoraifolin, Luteolin-7-glucoside, and Mentho-side, and tannins; Contains Rosmarinic acid and caffeic acid.
3. Amino acids: Containing a variety of free amino acids such as threonine, alanine, glutamic acid, asparagine.
