 Hesperidin is a compound that provides the body with hesperetin, a flavonoid that effectively performs the effects of hesperidin: including increased circulation and possible brain protection. Hesperidin and naringenin together are known as the major citrus flavonoids.

Hesperidin is a bioflavonoid glycoside commonly found in citrus fruits (most notably oranges) and is the sugar-bound form of the flavonoid hesperetin.

Functions:

 

1. As a vitamin drug, hesperidin can reduce the fragility of capillaries, protect capillaries, and prevent microvascular rupture and bleeding. It is used for the adjuvant treatment of hypertension.
